So excited to be stepping back into the role of Great Taste Awards Coordinator again this year! ⭐️I had such a brilliant day at the Coordinator Training yesterday with the wonderful team at the Guild of Fine Food (@guildoffinefood ), a day packed with insight, inspiration and (of course) some good tasting.A fantastic presentation from a AJ @sharprelations exploring emerging food trends. As a nutritional therapy practitioner I was especially drawn to conversations around:🌿 fibre-maxing
💉 supporting clients using GLP-1 medications
🍽️ food as therapy (always at the heart of my work)
🌱 natural GLP-1 support through lifestyle + nutrition
😴 the growing focus on sleep + diet
🧬 personalised nutrition for long-term health
🍄 and the rise of mushrooms as functional foodsAnd a huge highlight was the incredible @eleanorfordfood bringing “The Language of Spice” to life. Absolutely brilliant tasting session learning how to describe spice, recognise freshness, and understand traditions and flavour pairings from around the world.A huge thank you to everyone involved. Such a fabulous day being part of the Health for Life training event with the brilliant team at @servicesforeducation supported by @mondelez_international 🌱✨
It was wonderful to meet everyone and be welcomed so warmly by Lucie and Sharon.I had the pleasure of delivering today’s training, sharing my work as @thefoodteacher from my books and the Young Chef Awards to The Micro Matrix and The Food Teacher consultancy services and wellbeing support in schools. Developing a strong and positive school food culture can be truly transformative, and it was inspiring to work with such an engaged and passionate group of teachers. 💚A real highlight was hearing about @littlegannetsuk from Emma, Aston Villa’s fantastic @avfcfoundation Seed to Feed programme, and the brilliant work of the British food foundation.
