A simple chocolatey snack from our Youngest Chef Award for ages 3+ Great for picnics, packed lunches and snacks. Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 0 minutes Serves: 8
Ingredients
200g soft dried dates
50g jumbo oats (gluten-free)
25g desiccated coconut
1 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder
2 tbsp coconut oil/butter (room temp.)
1 orange
For coating: 6 tbsp dessicated coconut
Method
Grate the zest of the orange and add to a blender.
Add all the other ingredients and blend until well combined.
Sprinkle desiccated coconut onto a plate.
Roll a dessertspoon of mixture into a ball.
Roll each ball in the desiccated coconut on the plate and tap off any excess.
Use all the mix and place the snowballs in an airtight container in the fridge.
